I have written about our Woofswell on my personal blog, but I would like to talk about her here. Tell you all why I chose to adopt, and why I feel so strongly about supporting the APAC.
It was over a year ago, I met Woofswell by chance at an APAC adoption event. It is so easy to fall in love with a puppy, and that is exactly what it was, love at first lick.
What made the APAC a group that I would feel comfortable adopting from, is the same thing that drives me to volunteer for them now; real compassion and commitment to the animals of Bell County, TX.
They invest in every animal they adopt out, by having them spayed or neutered. To read more about the importance of spay/neuter click here.
The dogs and cats are fostered in loving homes while waiting to be adopted. For us this meant Woofer's transition from her foster home to our home was nearly seamless. She was a breeze to house train, comfortable around our little boy, just an absolute love.
Watching Woofs grow from a toddling puppy, into our loving, gentle, sweet family dog has been an amazing gift. I thank the APAC and Marianne (her foster mama) for that.
I hope that by supporting APAC, and pet adoption, I can help another family find their Woofswell.
