I apologize for being absent for the past few days, hectic life I have been livin' but we're back & blogging!
Every other Saturday, at Petsmart in Temple, TX, is APAC's Adoption Day! This past Saturday was just an awesome, uplifting experience for me and for the rest of our volunteers. We met some wonderful people and animals and FIVE of our fosters found their forever families.
Started off right, with the jack russels (remember Miss Crystal?) well she & her buddy found their forever family, adopted together! They looked positively elated, but when does a jack russel not look elated?
Leo! Sweet, sweet Leo, was adopted by a wonderful couple. By the look of their cart walking out of Petsmart, that guy is looking forward to a much deserved, very cushy life. Leo was a little skittish around men but took to him right away, and of course he's always been a ladies man.
It was bittersweet to see Marianne & Leo say their goodbys. Miss Marianne, with her heart of gold, is sure to find another deserving foster soon enough (or they will find her!). Always easier knowing that they go to a good home, and Leo has found a wonderful home and a wonderful family. They got a really special dog.
Emmett did not have to sleep in the shelter Saturday night! He is for sure getting spoiled right now.
He had the best sign for the event and gave lots of licks for a good cause
Then there was a girl who came by with her dad. She was so natural with the dogs, and was able to walk most of the foster pups around. She definitely bonded with each of them, but strongest with Athena, the Bastrop puppy.
We are all so happy for Athena and her forever family!
I was lucky enough to meet some fosters for the first time! Miss Molly, she is such a love! Walked on the leash for me, listened to me ramble on & on, she was great company.

Sweet Willow, nuzzled me and snuggled. She was absolutely tuckered out after her long day
I saw some familiar faces too, like handsome Cloony and the ever calm Bear, looking for a nice spot to relax
I am so looking forward to our next event, and to seeing your faces there!
